The Elements (Western Zodiac)
You are made of all four elements
Within the Astro Life Alliance System, no person is only Fire, Earth, Air, or Water. Every person carries all four elements in different complementary amounts. One element may be more pronounced, while the others support, temper, balance, or challenge it. Your elemental makeup is the relationship among all four.
The Elements represent the underlying natures and dispositions of the signs and their influence on the character of the persons born of the signs and those things that they represent.
There are four (4) Elements in Western Astrology. They are Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. Each Element is assigned three (3) Zodiac signs. These groupings of three signs are known as Triplicities.
Though many of us know the Elements or at least the one that pertains to our sign, most of us don’t know their significance concerning our signs, the characteristics of our signs, or how they influence our personalities and the personalities of others.
Many astrologers use the nature of the Elements in association with the natures of the different signs to try to determine which signs form the best compatibilities. As I mentioned above, I don’t place much faith in such determinations, as countless individuals enter and leave relationships several times after engaging those with different signs and, thus, different Elements.
There are volumes of reading material that cover the Elements and how knowledge of them is vital to compatibility and choosing a significant other rather than an intimate other.
I prefer to examine how people behave under the influence of different Elements, relative to house position as a result of Sun and Moon birthdays, or the Element someone arrives or calls in, or when the Element changes within specific time frames.
The easiest way to train yourself in Element recognition is to attach the Elements to the people whose zodiac signs you know. Then watch their arrivals relative to the days, the nights, and the time. Arrivals can be physically or by phone call. If you know their Sun, Moon, and Rising signs and none of their Elements are present when they arrive, the concern will be about someone else of the Element or the subject matter.
Next, we will examine the nature of each Element relative to its ruling planet, zodiac sign, and which days and nights its influence rules.
Passion · Creativity · Action
The Fire Elements are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius
Aries · Leo · SagittariusFire represents passion, creativity, and action. Its influence brings vitality and enthusiasm to any part of life, pushing all signs toward dynamic action when Fire energy is present.
Fire signs are forceful, self-confident, action-oriented, and essential to progress. Fire manifests itself from the soul through the spirit of accomplishment.
In the Astrological Kingdom, they represent the ruling class (i.e., military leadership, kings, queens, government, religious leadership, lawmakers, etc.).
The Fire Element’s Effect on Non-Fire Signs
The Fire Element is embodied in those born of Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius zodiac signs. The Fire Element is also most influential in the days and nights it rules.
In signs not ruled by Fire, this Element can ignite motivation, encourage bold decisions, and enhance self-expression.
Fire in Earth Signs—when fire’s influence enters Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn and their ruling planets, it infuses Earth signs with energy and enthusiasm, which can urge them to take more risks and embrace their passions. Fire helps Earth signs break free from standard or base routines, igniting creativity and desires for adventurous, even risky pursuits.
Fire in Water Signs—when fire’s influence enters Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, and their ruling planets, it can stir up the emotions of Water to boiling. Pushing them to express their feelings with more confidence and intensity. Fire’s influence also encourages Water signs to take decisive action instead of remaining in their passive comfort zone.
Fire in Air Signs—When fire’s influence enters Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, and their ruling planets, it energizes Air signs, sparking excitement and boldness in their intellectual expressions. Fire encourages Air signs to turn ideas into action and engage life more dynamically and passionately.
